just realised that the korean stalls in food courts actually serve their korean noodles using... read a "disturbing" news report on wanbao last sunday... which i found was also featured on BT. so what was so disturbing about the report? not some gruesome murder or political problem etc... it was simply a report on a certain billionaire singaporean. yep, B-I-L-L-I-O-N-A-I-R-E. just how many zeros are there in a billion????........ NINE! - 1,000,000,000.... even my calculator cannot accomodate 9 zeros... mind you, IF i ever won Toto, it would only be a tiny fraction of what he has! he has a whole block of apartment all to himself, plus his fleet of TEN flashy cars.... even if he spent $10k a DAY, it can last him about 277 years. that's how rich he is. and that's only assuming he has ONE billion. apparantly he has around two...

yes, i am sour (and bo-liao for doing my calculations)... it's just too mind boggling how filthy rich some people are...

....meanwhile, back to my toto dream...

i opened up the new tube of medication for my ear and pressed it. seeing that nothing has come out of it, i pressed it a few more times. voila, the cream finally oozed out... but the problem is it wouldn't stop!!! it just kept streaming out of the tube at amazing speed and i had to keep trying to catch it on the cotton tip... i tried stopping the flow by blocking the tip but no... it just kept going on and on and on and on... til i had a messy strings of cream hanging on the cotton tip and much more has flopped onto the ground!!!... i swear this tube has a life of it's own!

btw, this is just the tip of the iceberg... =p

hee, seems like i'm having lotsa "medical" problems nowadays... i'm a problematic child.

just went for a minor surgery y'day to remove a keloid on my left ear lobe. i had an ear piercing long time ago and it got a little infected at some point. being the vain pot as i am, i continued to put on and take off earrings. so the infected area grew a tiny little lump and the tiny little lump soon grew to a not-so-tiny-little-lump after... took years before i took action. got referred to ENT specialist to get it removed.

thot was a very simple surgery but it came with the full works... little surgery theatre, surgical gowns, attending surgical nurse and those scary looking surgical tools... plus they made me lie in the freezing theatre for so long while waiting for the doctor to come! started getting the jitters when the doc finally arrived. luckily they covered my head, leaving only the ear exposed. after a few painful injections, my ear was numb. can't feel anything but was still rather nervous. the doc told the nurse to gel my hair back with KY jelly and even jokingly said she can use the whole tube and i won't be charged for it! hmmm, so tt's wat KY jelly is for huh??? kekekek...

in all, the surgery took half hour or so. saw the removed keloid and it was gross!!! ew...

the pain came in after the anaesthesia wore off... and it was still bleeding a bit... next week gonna go back to remove the stitches... can't wait for it to heal so that i can look at my lump-free ear again!!!

i have a toe problem that's been plaguing me for awhile... one of my toes will swell up at some point in time, for no reason. then it will go away in a day or two. then it comes back... to another toe. big toe, third toe, left feet, right feet... it drives me nuts cos it keeps me awake at nite with the throbbing pain... it woke me up at 5am today and my girl wasn't even awake yet!

after months of not going out on my own without my hb or bb, finally went for a dinner night out with my gfs at a place where we used to hang out - Hard Rock Cafe. Brought back memories of when we were young and crazy then... we started reminiscing about the past and all the silly things we've done. looking back, i'm glad to say that i've been blessed with many good friends.

friends from school (oldest but sweetest and definitely seen the worst in me),
work (some dodos but never fail to amaze myself with our chemistry, some not dodos but still click well),
friends of friends (wonder where i found them from but kept them close at heart anyway)...

and each friend or group of friends hold a memory of a place or phase of my life that i've been through.

I guess a favourite song from the Beatles kinda sums it up...

i seriously think tt paediatricians are vampires... they charge so bloody expensive for a consultation that probably take 5 mins tops. just because our babies can't talk yet, we're at their mercy... my girl's bill came up to $90 with medicine... all parents know that it's considered "normal". i can go to a GP 3x (for our normal flu and wat nots) for that amount!!!

sigh, wat to do? anything just to know that our babies are ok...

i've recently started my photo-taking "hobby" again. it used to be all about my cat. now that my little one has entered my life, she's become the centre of my focus and my cat has been neglected (i feel so guilty but yet do nothing about it...) and so i snap and snap and snap. oh, she looks so cute in this, oh, she's doing that cheeky smile, oh this and that... so much so that i realise that i've not taken any pix with her except those few in the hospital! but then again, i couldn't have taken much pix with her cos

1)i was the one holding the camera all the time
2)i was fat and still am and so i didn't like to have my picture taken

but as i'm watching her grow everyday, i'm afraid she might not have any pictures of her with her mommy when she was so tiny and so i made my hb take some pix for me. and so the frustration began. there was NO nice shots i can safely say i like. NONE. NADA, ZILCH. either i looked awful or she keep moving (thus having blur photos) or i had a lousy almost obsolete 3.2megapix camera or my hb was a terrible photographer. perhaps it's the latter!

anyway, though i'm awfully camera shy and publicity shy, i think it's only fair i put up a pix of me here since i'll be putting up some of my friend's here!! so this is an edited shot of me and baby. now u know where she gets her chubby cheeks from!
